What to take to the cottage rental

Cottage rental is a mix of urban and wild environments. And since it is managed privately, don't expect standard "stuff" every time you go there. Here are some tips on various items you should consider taking with you.
Since some items heavily depend on the time of the year, we compiled categories three categories: common, winter and summer.

1. Common

In general the number
a) Bedding.

Unless it is explicitly stated that the cottage owners would provide fresh and clean bedding, I would recommend you taking all bedding stuff with you including sheets, linens, pilow, blankets.

Toiletries:

- Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash

- Shaver and supplies

- Shampoo and Soap

- Hairbrush

- Deodorant

- Prescription Medicine

- First Aid Kit

- Charcoal and Propane

- Flashlights

Entertainment:

Entertainment is always a must have at a cottage, it is a personal preference of what to bring, but this might give you an idea:

- Camera

- MP3 Player

1. Mosquitoes and fly protection.

Starting from end of May and until the end of August it is considered to be mosquitoes season in Ontario. Flies are also very cruel during summer. Therefore bugs protection is a must. Many people buy repellents, but my personal opinion that repellent might work ok for indoors or maybe on the deck, but don't rely on it when you going outside. Mosquitoes head net, gloves, jacket and light pens should completely cover your body and give your some comfort, especially around the evening time.
