COTTAGE DESCRIPTION

The cottage itself is nothing short of magnificent. The main floor is an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also a wash room / laundry room combination on this level. As you can see from the photos, the living room is well furnished with over stuffed sofas and chairs as well as a stone fireplace with pellet stove insert, TV / DVD and satellite dish.

The country kitchen is well equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and dishwasher as well as a large island food preparation area. In addition there is a washer / dryer for all your laundry needs.

Upstairs there are 3 very large bedrooms and two 4 piece baths with one being an ensuite off the master bedroom.

There are 3 levels to this cottage and the upper level is the bedroom level with the master bedroom, bedroom 2 with a double and a single, and bedroom 3 with 2 singles. In addition there are 2 four piece bathrooms on this level and there is a 2 piece bathroom on the main level.

In addition there is a lower rec room area which doubles as a great area for the kids to play in when the weather turns outside and there are 2 single beds in this area as well if needed.

Outside

Outside, in addition to the "L" shaped swimming pool there is plenty of space for the kids to play and if it's raining there is a full length screened in sunroom for your lounging convenience. There is also an extensive covered balcony across the entire front of the cottage.If you think you will miss boating while at the cottage, think again because you are within 3 or 4 minutes of a marina on Lake Kashagawigamog which is part of a 5 lake chain, where you can rent and/or moor your own boat with confidence and security. This cottage is also within 5 minutes of the Village of Haliburton which makes this accommodation perfect for mature students attending the Haliburton School of Art. The Village of Haliburton features large food stores, restaurants, service stations, pharmacies, hardware stores, quaint shops, live theatre, health care and a hospital if needed.
