COTTAGE DESCRIPTION

Renting this 7 acre cottage property will be like taking a vacation

This totally renovated 80 year old cottage is simply magnificent in it's simplicity, character and historic skin . It all starts with a nicely furnished living room with comfortable overstuffed sofa, a few chairs, a wood burning stove and a television with DVD and satellite reception.

The newly decorated and well equipped kitchen comes with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and the ever popular dishwasher. A washer / dryer rounds out the appliance offering. Just off the kitchen there is a most attractive dining area with lots of windows and skylight which looks out on the property for all to enjoy.

The simple but beautifully decorated upper level bedroom area includes a master bedroom pictured above as well as two other bedrooms pictured below for your sleeping comfort. In addition there is fold out cot in the master if needed and the sofa in the living room converts to a sofa bed to ensure the privacy of one and all.

The attractive main level bathroom is a four piece delight complete with soaker tub to soothe away those sore muscles after a long day at play on the water and on the trails of this outstanding property.

Outside:

This cottage is actually in the Kawartha Lakes area just south of the southern tip of the Haliburton Highlands. This makes the trip form Toronto to this cottage an easy hour and a half to two hour drive depending on the traffic. This is a new lake for WRD Cottage Rental and we must say we are impressed with the views from this property and the rugged beauty of the shorelines. This is a 7 acre property so it includes most of the property you see from the aerial photos below. Besides the immediate cottage area, there are trails all through the property to enjoy. The newly constructed deck to a perfect size for one and all and it commands a panoramic view of the lake on this side of the peninsula. In addition there is a small dock and child safe swimming area and we suggest that life jackets be worn at all times in the water. At the dock you will find a canoe and paddleboat for your on water pleasure and the islands you see in the distance are owned by the crown so you are permitted to visit them at your leisure.
