COTTAGE DESCRIPTION

This air conditioned cottage will feel like home in a matter of minutes.

The spacious living room comes complete with a sofa, a love seat, sofa and four easy chairs as well as a television with VCR and satellite reception for your viewing pleasure.

The well equipped kitchen comes with an island food prep area which includes an eat at bar with 2 stools and a radiant heat stove. In addition there is a fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and the ever popular dishwasher. Just off the kitchen, there is a well decorated dining area with a good size harvest table and 6 chairs.

This cottage sleeps 9 people in comfort including the master bedroom with a queen size bed, and there are 2 other bedrooms with various size bunks to sleep an additional 7 people .

There are 2 bathrooms, one 4 piece and one 2 piece for your convenience
and there is a full size laundry in the lower level for all your laundry needs.

In the lower level there is a most comfortable rec room with a sofa, love seat, easy chair, another television (large screen), DVD, a card table and even a small office area with computer if needed,

Outside

For those of you who are not familiar with Haliburton Lake, this is a larger lake about a 1/2 hour drive north of Haliburton Village and one of the prettier lakes in the Haliburton Highlands. The fishing is good and there is plenty of water to explore if you plan to bring your own watercraft and there is a marina on Haliburton Lake for all your boating needs. This cottage is situated across the road from Haliburton Lake and you have your own shoreline and dock at the water where you will find your canoe and row boat for your on water pleasure. Swimming is off the dock which has a sturdy ladder for easy exit from the water. The 2 pontoon boats at the dock pictured below will not be there during rentals. As you exit the cottage off the main floor, there is a large wrap around deck with table, umbrella and many chairs for your lounging pleasure. In addition there is another exit from the master bedroom onto this same deck and there is a serious propane barbeque for the executive chef of the family. At the rear of the cottage there is a delightful arbor covered patio which makes a very comfortable spot for that early morning coffee. In this rear area, there is also a children's jungle gym and additional gardens for your enjoyment. The nearest town is the Village of Haliburton which is about a 25 minute drive where you will find quaint shops, large food stores, pharmacies, restaurants, live theatre, special events, and health care at clinics or even a hospital if necessary.
