COTTAGE DESCRIPTION

Every once in the while, an exceptional cottage comes along which is so comfortable,so interesting and yet so unusual that it immediately captures your attention.
Get ready for Canning Lake 8 on the famous 5 lake chain of Haliburton County.

The bright spacious living room comes with sofas, chairs, wood stove, beautiful art work and a large screen TV / VCR / DVD and satellite dish. And what kind of cottage has a beautiful cedar strip canoe hanging on display in the living room. Canning Lake 8 does !!!

The gourmet country kitchen encourages culinary excellence using a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and the ever popular dishwasher. Elsewhere in the cottage there is also a washer / dryer for all your laundry needs.



Just off the kitchen there is one of the great dining areas in the Highlands with a lovely harvest table to seat 8 and a convenient serving counter from the kitchen. The fireplace is for decoration only but what a great accent for this room.

The master bedroom is a loft which overlooks the living room dining area and includes a queen size bed, and a jacuzzi if and when the spirit moves you or the sore muscles are screaming for relief.



There are 3 other bedrooms to sleep another 6 in a queen and 2 doubles. Needless to say from the pictures above, the cottage is loaded with an interesting mix of antiques from all over Canada. In addition to these 3 bedrooms, there are 2 bathrooms for your convenience.

The newest section of the cottage is a warm and inviting den / library where there is comfortable seating while you are on vacation. There is an exit from this room to the deck for your convenience.

Last but not least, by any stretch of the imagination, is a delightful sun room with cozy wicker furniture.This is the perfect spot for that book you have been promising yourself to read for the past 6 months.

Outside:

The outside of this cottage is just not any outside. The outside of Canning Lake 8 means a wrap around multi-level deck , lots of lounge chairs, tables. umbrellas and a view that just won't quit. Of course there is a propane barbeque for Chef Crispy and an eastern exposure for those fabulous north
country sun rises. This is a sloped property and when you make your way to the lake level, there you will find a fire pit for those evening marshmallow roasts and sing-a-longs which the loons listen to with great fascination.
